Health and Education Opportunities to Strengthen the China-Australia Relationship

The Harvard Club of Victoria and ShineWing Australia cordially invite you to a lunch presentation on Thursday the 31st of May on Health and Education Partnership Opportunities between Australia and China.

The China Australia relationship has developed over many centuries with the next century providing the countries with a unique opportunity for the people of each country to form sustainable win-win relationships. With China’s rapid modernisation and economic development over the last 20 years, sectors like Education and Healthcare are set to undergo similar transformations aided with big data, cloud and artificial intelligence platforms. Chinese people place education, wellness and healthcare among their highest priorities.

Australia’s primary health care,  allied health care and health education systems are among the best in the world.  The China Australia Free Trade Agreement and China’s Belt and Road Initiative provides a platform for moving the trade and cultural relationships between Australia and China to a level beyond commodities and tourism.

This presentation will be in English and Mandarin.

Dr Greg Li
PhD Peking University; MMSc Harvard University

Dr. Li is a Managing Partner of Australia China Innovation Partners (ACI Partners), Director at Manhattan (Beijing) Hospital Management Consultancy Ltd and President of the International Rehabilitation Institute . He enrolled in orthopaedic PhD at Peking University and completed his spine fellowship at Orthopaedic Department of Harvard MGH. He serves as advisor for mHealth companies for building up the relationship between companies and hospital; He is a member of CEIBS mHealth group and also an active member of mHealth Group of Health Ministry of China. He was the Director of Strategic Marketing at Johnson & Johnson Medical. He co-founded Chinese Scholar and Scientist Association at Harvard Medical School (CSSA-HMS) and was the president of CSSA-HMS. Dr. Li is a Director of Harvard Club of Beijing, a member of the Harvard Club of Victoria and is also an advisor for China’s Yiqiao Foundation.

Mr Bill Lang
B.Comm LLB(Hons); MBA (Harvard); Fulbright Ambassador
Mr Bill Lang is the Executive Chairman of the Human Performance Group of Companies and the Institute of Advanced Business Studies. Bill’s career spans over 35 years across a number of industries and countries. As a University of Melbourne student he co-founded the food business Doctor Dog and published his first book. In 1985 he joined the Faculty of Commerce and Economics at the University of Melbourne and in 1986 graduated with an Honours degree in Law and Commerce. Bill worked globally with KPMG and McKinsey & Company. He attended Harvard Business School as a Fulbright Scholar and graduated with an MBA as a Baker Scholar and Proctor and Gamble International Fellow.

Bill has worked in a range of industries including the financial, service, leisure and tourism, automobile, telecommunication, media, manufacturing and insurance industries. He co-lead the establishment of a Corporate Venture fund that invested in software, business process and telecommunication ventures for National Mutual-AXA. In the late 90’s he co-founded two internet companies, Freeonline (Australia) and Sharinga Networks Inc. (San Francisco). These start-ups culminated in a $120 million global alliance with AT&T and British Telecom. Upon his return to Australia, Bill founded the Human Performance Group which includes several businesses in the Start-Up and Scale Up Acceleration and Education sectors.
